The conflicts that are currently taking place in Congo, Sudan, Somalia and areas affected by the The Lord's Resistance Army, or LRA, demand attention and action. This is why Enough was formed: to address mass human rights abuses, and to incite public awareness and policy changes that can help end these types of conflicts permanently. Enough works toward this goal by producing important policy publications and advocating for increased action by public officials and private citizens. We believe, as John Prendergast and Don Cheadle say in The Enough Moment, that we need to "shift the paradigm away from simply responding to the symptoms of these wars to focusing on ending them." You can find some links below that provide more information on current conflicts in Africa that you can help end.

Past Conflicts
Unfortunately, the types of crises that are currently affecting Congo, Sudan, and areas that have been infiltrated by the LRA are not the first of their kind. In fact, in many ways, it is history repeating itself. Past conflicts in places such as Liberia, Sierra Leone, Mozambique, Angola, and Rwanda were fueled by similar themes to the ones at the center of conflicts today, including ethnic cleansing, conflict minerals, and land disputes. We must learn from these past conflicts in order to stop current crises and prevent future ones. The links below will direct you to more information about past conflicts and how they were resolved.
